The Jamestown Foundation Nanotechnology for Military

The Jamestown Foundation Nanotechnology for Military

Launched in 1984 after Jamestown's late president and founder William Geimer's work with Arkady Shevchenko, the highest-ranking Soviet official ever to defect when he left his position as undersecretary general of the United Nations, the Jamestown Foundation rapidly became the leading source of information about the inner workings of closed totalitarian societies.
Jamestown's work has contributed directly to the spread of democracy and personal freedom in the former Communist Bloc countries. In the 1980s the foundation assisted such key experts as former high-ranking Soviet diplomat Arkady Shevchenko, and former top Romanian intelligence officer Ion Pacepa, whose revelations about their governments -- which then directly challenged the United States -- were unprecedented and singularly important.

Healthy Nutty Seed loaf | Louise Jeffrey.com

Healthy Nutty Seed loaf | Louise Jeffrey.com

I first had this bread when I went to my friend Lisa’s house for lunch a few months ago. It was delicious! Besides the taste, I also love it because it is gluten free, yeast free, high in protein and  very nutritionally dense! But best of all – it is unbelievably easy to make! No need for a bread maker or kneading of dough etc etc. Psyllium husk is used to bind the bread (no need for flour), which is really good for improving & maintaining digestive health. Your body will be singing with gratitude!

HEALTHY CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SLICE | Louise Jeffrey.com

HEALTHY CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SLICE | Louise Jeffrey.com

I spend a fair bit of time cooking and baking healthier food options – not just for myself but for the kids too. Being a time poor Mum of 3 hungry boys, I am on an endless search to find easy recipes that are delicious and healthy at the same time.
All 5 of us in this family have a sweet tooth, and one of my favourites is a chocolate caramel slice. So last week I tried out a new (adapted wholefood) recipe for a healthy caramel slice – and it was delicious! The part of a caramel slice I love the most is the middle caramel bit – and this is hard to replicate when not using caramelised processed sugar. This recipe uses a combination of macadamias and dates to make a smooth, rich, creamy caramel. Let me know what you think.

The most important piece in healing Food and Body challenges | Louise Jeffrey.com

What if there was one thing that could make all the difference in helping to heal eating and body challenges? What if this one thing was so powerful that it could change the way you think about your body and your weight? And what if this one thing could also help transform your relationship with food? What if it could help you to feel comfortable in your own skin, help you to WANT to nourish (rather than self sabotage) yourself, and help you to love yourself no matter your size?

Trying to conceive a child without success is one of the hardest challenges in life to face. Not only because often the reason is left unexplained – but because the process itself is very disempowering. Medication, hormones, medical procedures, and diet & lifestyle changes often fail to make any significant difference. This can leave many women – and men – with feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. The sad part is that in a cruel cycle, it is often times the stress and anxiety that further decrease the chances of conceiving, because the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline interfere with ovulation and conception.
